How this election is counted

This is a multi-candidate City Council race. The article reports only the two leading vote totals visible in the shortened ABC7 display; it does not assume how the other candidates ranked or identify a certified winner. City election officials and the county canvass determine the final outcome.

Still unofficial

Results in this article were checked from the ABC7 Los Angeles live 2026 election results display on November 5. The page is dynamic and does not identify the exact time of the Los Angeles County count underlying each listed race. The county’s ballot canvass is ongoing, including further eligible vote-by-mail and provisional ballots. It is not accurate to portray the displayed totals as certified or to invent percentages for candidates omitted from the abbreviated listing.
